Cypress Hills
Cypress Hills’ Fulton Street corridor combines shops with apartments above them. Arlington Library provides a neighborhood landmark, while Highland Park and the cemeteries are nearby destinations with their own mapped areas and access rules.

Understanding Cypress Hills
The 2024 City Planning review describes Fulton Street’s mixed residential and commercial character and a local development organization formed in 1983. It identifies the parks and cemeteries as neighboring cultural draws. The commercial district’s legal limits do not define all Cypress Hills.
Arlington Library began as the East Branch in a rented Pennsylvania Avenue room in 1899. Its 1906 Carnegie building gave the institution a much larger classical home on a residential street. The branch’s institutional name and its operator’s East New York description coexist with this mapped Cypress Hills location.

Nearby Highland Park

Planning a visit
The Fulton Street planning review identifies J/Z stations at Van Siclen, Norwood and Crescent. Arlington Library lists the J and Q24/Q56 buses. Confirm current service for the chosen address.
Arlington’s operator lists the building as fully accessible. That rating does not establish access during the separately stated closure. No checked park entrance or general cemetery opening is established.
Visitor update
Arlington Library currently lists closed hours. Check BPL for reopening before planning an interior visit.
