Eastchester-Edenwald-Baychester
This combined map area includes Eastchester, Edenwald and Baychester. Choose a wooded creek park or a neighborhood recreation stop rather than assuming the three names describe one small district.

Understanding Eastchester-Edenwald-Baychester
The community board distinguishes Eastchester’s Boston Road and Dyre Avenue corridors from Edenwald’s housing developments and Baychester’s lower ground. Those familiar names remain useful within the larger statistical outline.
Seton Falls Park preserves part of the former Seton estate. Community opposition to a planned hospital helped keep the land available for park use.
Edenwald takes its name from John H. Eden’s estate. The public housing and adjoining playground came later, changing the former estate into a residential community.
Places to explore
Seton Falls Park
EastchesterThe source identifies forest, Rattlesnake Creek and recreation areas. Choose a nature walk using established paths; this page does not verify a complete step-free trail.
Edenwald Playground
Beside Edenwald HousesThe playground’s history connects the recreation space to the housing development. It offers a different sort of visit from the woods: neighborhood play and courts, with pool operation checked separately.
Haffen Park
Gunther and Burke avenues areaThe park’s fields and play areas serve the northeastern Bronx. Its name honors the borough’s first president. Match the exact destination on the map rather than substituting an entire neighborhood center.
