Brooklyn groups face a November 4 deadline for neighborhood project proposals. New Tribeca benches add resting places along Greenwich Street.
In Queens, Wong is seeking details about a Maspeth shelter proposal. Bronx advocates want public access to an industrial waterfront property, while CSI prepares young singers for a November 21 cabaret.
Greenwich Street benches add seating in Tribeca
The additions follow a long neighborhood effort to restore places to rest along the shopping corridor.
Tribeca now has more sidewalk seats, including two on Greenwich's east side between Warren and Chambers and another outside Target.
The additions match a DOT bench installed near the Whole Foods M9 stop last September. Neighbors, including Lee Katcher, had sought replacement seating for years.

East Williamsburg seeks project ideas before grant deadline
Lighting, greenery and better public spaces are among the priorities under discussion.
Community members and organizations have until November 4 to propose capital improvements for a $20 million neighborhood grant.
The Downtown Revitalization Initiative supports physical projects, rather than recurring expenses such as salaries or routine maintenance. Applicants need a sponsor, site control and a defined budget; the project form is on the program's Call for Projects page.
Better lighting, small parks and improved seating are among the possibilities local leaders are weighing. Those ideas are proposals, not a list of awarded projects.

Maspeth shelter plans await details as Wong seeks city meetings
Wong's office identifies Lantern Community Services as the proposed operator; formal city notification is still expected.
Councilmember Phil Wong says a proposed facility at 55-05 Flushing Avenue would have 165 beds for single adult men.
His office plans to request meetings with the Department of Social Services and Lantern Community Services to review the Maspeth proposal. Formal notification from the city is still expected.

Port Morris waterfront faces choices as advocates seek access
Prologis says it is evaluating the property; no purchase contract or Amazon warehouse plan is confirmed.
South Bronx Unite wants state officials to examine land-use controls at a former printing plant by the Bronx Kill. The group seeks public shoreline access and space for solar power, green manufacturing and job training.
Prologis says it is evaluating the Port Morris property and is not under contract to buy it. The company denies having an Amazon warehouse plan there, and the location has not been selected for the city's Blue Highways freight program.
