NYFE Summary

The factory helped draw other piano makers to the surrounding blocks. The company made grand and upright pianos as the instrument became common in middle-class homes. Its advertisements often pictured the building.

A four-faced clock tower projects from the corner. Arched windows, zigzag brick bands and small terra-cotta panels give the long walls texture. Narrow factory wings allowed daylight to reach the work floors.
