NYFE Summary

Developers built the theater as part of an effort to make Coney Island a year-round entertainment district. The building combined shops, theater space and offices intended for entertainment businesses. Its program included live performances as well as films.

The tall brick section rises above a lower stone-faced base. Near the roof, an arcade and balcony give the front a more elaborate finish. Its scale stands apart from many of the smaller amusement buildings around it.
