NYFE Summary

Catherine Bruce donated money for a library and books in memory of her father, an inventor of printing machinery. Proceeds from the sale of that earlier library helped pay for this replacement. The branch continues to serve readers with public collections and programs.

Dark and red bricks form a checkerboard pattern across the front. Copper lanterns flank the entrance, below a round window. Large windows above were designed to bring light into the reading rooms.
