NYFE Summary

Gould Memorial Library once served New York University’s uptown campus. Its circular reading room was modeled on the Pantheon in Rome. Inside are green marble columns, a patterned marble floor, stained glass and figures of the Greek Muses beneath the dome.

The adjoining Hall of Fame honors people selected for achievements in fields such as science, politics and the arts. Busts include Susan B. Anthony and George Washington Carver. Bronx Community College now occupies the campus.
