NYFE Summary

The first congregation worshipped in a small wooden schoolhouse moved to this site. Its replacement served families living among the farms and country estates that once surrounded Fordham. The church and its grounds still show the scale of that earlier landscape.

Rough stone walls, red sandstone window frames and slate roofs mark out the nave, side aisles and projecting transept. The separate roof shapes make these parts easy to read from outside. A rose window and a small wooden entrance porch add detail at street level.
