NYFE Summary
An early pastor converted a former resort hotel into the parish residence. Michael Phelan later acted as general contractor for the church and hired tradespeople from the congregation. Services began in the basement while the upper church was still being built.
A relief above the entrance shows Saint Cecilia playing an organ. Three arches form a deep porch below rows of windows. Brick and terracotta details connect the central gable with the two small corner towers.
