Brooklyn Heights
Brooklyn Heights offers more than harbor views. The Center for Brooklyn History and nearby Montague Street bank buildings show how residential development, civic life and commerce grew beside one another.

Understanding Brooklyn Heights
Montague Street’s Bank Row stands at the edge of the older residential neighborhood. Its monumental bank fronts projected stability and civic importance. The Center for Brooklyn History preserves records that let visitors investigate how this and other Brooklyn neighborhoods changed.
