Fordham Heights
Fordham Heights sits near the Fordham Road shopping corridor and the Grand Concourse. Use the public streets for the commercial setting, with Poe Park as a nearby literary-history stop.

Understanding Fordham Heights
Fordham grew from farmland as the college, railways and later transport connections expanded. The city’s assessment traces Fordham Road’s role as an east-west shopping corridor and the apartment streets around the Grand Concourse.
The small white cottage at Poe Park was Edgar Allan Poe’s final home. It was moved into the park in 1913, so its present setting should not be mistaken for the original rural plot.
