Hell’s Kitchen

Understanding Hell’s Kitchen

Clinton is another established name for this area; the park helped give that name to the neighborhood. Its early children’s farm garden, directed by Frances Griscom Parsons, taught local children about plants, food and conservation.

Irish Arts Center was founded in 1972 in Hell’s Kitchen. Its continuing focus on Irish and Irish-American culture provides an institutional link between the neighborhood and contemporary performance.

Intrepid admission includes the aircraft carrier, Space Shuttle Pavilion and Growler, while Concorde requires a separate guided tour. Check the current exhibit notices and the performance access information for the Irish Arts Center event you choose.
