Riverdale-Spuyten Duyvil
Riverdale and Spuyten Duyvil share this larger map area, but their visits can be quite different. Choose Wave Hill’s garden or the parks above the Harlem and Hudson river meeting point.

Understanding Riverdale-Spuyten Duyvil
Spuyten Duyvil’s ironworks and railroad helped turn a formerly rural river edge into a developed neighborhood. Canal straightening later removed the foundry landscape.
The hill parks preserve several layers of that history, including former estates, bridge approaches and the Henry Hudson memorial. They are not interchangeable with Wave Hill’s separately managed garden.

Spuyten Duyvil hillsideLook for the memorial column and the landscape around the bridge approaches. The park has different levels and stairways, so a general park description is not a step-free route claim.
