Four classrooms and an adult teaching kitchen are planned for the pavilion.
The education center at Queens Botanical Garden is expected to be finished in fall 2027, according to QNS.
Officials toured the Flushing construction site on October 26. The Joan N. and Norman Bluestone Education Center will span 14,500 square feet, with a project cost above $30 million.
Plans include four classrooms for school programs and a full-size kitchen for adult education. A living green roof and solar panels are also part of the design.
