Queens artists face a deadline for new-work grants
Supported projects must take place in 2027 and include a public component for Queens audiences.
Emerging artists and unincorporated collectives can request $3,000 to $7,500 through the Queens Arts Fund's New Work Grant. Applications close November 17, 2026, at 5 p.m. Eastern Standard Time.
Applicants must live in Queens or hold a full-time studio lease there. A collective must name an eligible Queens-based lead artist. The work cannot have been produced or presented to an audience before.
The New York Foundation for the Arts accepts applications through Submittable. Required materials include a project description, work samples and a budget. Other funds or support must cover at least 10% of project expenses. Applicants will be notified in spring 2027.
