Snug Harbor warns of limited garden access during lantern installation
The current notice does not identify affected paths or announce a full campus closure.
Visitors to Snug Harbor Cultural Center & Botanical Garden in Livingston, Staten Island, are being advised to expect limited grounds and garden access November 6–18 during Winter Lantern Festival installation.
That advisory appears on the operator's hours and admissions page. The banner does not print a year; the same notice appears on its dated November 5, 2026 event page. It does not specify which individual gardens or routes are affected.
The outdoor grounds normally open daily from dawn to dusk. Snug Harbor warns that gates close earlier between October and March as daylight hours shorten. The campus is at 1000 Richmond Terrace.
