NYFE Summary

Two reflecting pools form the center of this memorial at the former World Trade Center. Names inscribed around the pools honor people killed in the September 11, 2001 attacks and the 1993 World Trade Center bombing. The plaza also preserves a pear tree that survived the 2001 attacks.

Below the plaza, the museum uses artifacts, images, first-person testimony and archival recordings to examine the attacks. Its historical exhibition covers the events of the day, the preceding history and the aftermath. A separate memorial exhibition tells the stories of the people who died.
