NYFE Summary

The former Irving Trust banking room contains a floor-to-ceiling mosaic by Hildreth Meière. Red tiles fade toward orange near the ceiling, crossed by gold lines. Curving walls echo the building’s folded stone exterior.

The bank left in 2014, and the building was converted to residential and retail uses. Restoration reused surviving original tiles. The Red Room is now part of the Printemps store, so the banking interior can be seen separately from the private apartments above.
