NYFE Summary

Artists, writers, composers and architects formed this honor society in 1898. Members support other artists through awards, commissions and purchases of work for museum collections. Archer M. Huntington donated its site and funded the original buildings.

Public exhibitions now run throughout the year across the society’s galleries. Changing presentations include work by contemporary artists. The gallery complex occupies three linked buildings, including a skylit exhibition space. Renovations allowed year-round public programs to begin in 2024.
