NYFE Summary

American Express grew from an express-shipping business into a company handling money orders, travelers' cheques and travel services. This headquarters brought those expanding operations together before the company moved elsewhere.

The tall front is divided into two wings around a recessed center. Large arched openings mark the base, while columns and a heavy cornice finish the upper floors. The matching Trinity Place facade reveals the other side of the plan.
