NYFE Summary

Photojournalist Michael Kamber returned from Afghanistan and worked with arts administrator Danielle Jackson to turn an abandoned building’s storefront into a documentary gallery.

Exhibitions explore social issues through the work of both established and emerging documentarians. The center also teaches young people, older residents and working photographers to tell their own stories. Its photobook library adds a place to study how images become books.
