NYFE Summary

Past Broadway productions traveled to this neighborhood theater as part of the Subway Circuit. Later nightclubs here became part of the city’s Latin music scene. Charlie and Eddie Palmieri recorded Pachanga at Club Caravana here in 1961.

The surviving front has tall windows framed by carved garlands, swags and decorative panels. It now houses a hotel. The original auditorium behind it was demolished and is outside the landmark designation.
