NYFE Summary

Cary, Howard & Sanger sold a wide range of fancy goods here, including jewelry, perfume, cutlery and musical instruments. The building served as both a shop and a warehouse.

Its two street fronts used cast iron to imitate a stone palace. Repeated arches, paired columns and deeply marked joints create that effect. The building’s name appears below the central roof pediment, with another sign above the main doorway.
