NYFE Summary

The soup kitchen began in 1982, adding food service to the church’s work in the neighborhood. The building itself had already grown through an eastward extension and the addition of transepts, the cross arms of the church.

A square brick tower changes into an eight-sided belfry below the narrow spire. Round windows and curved gables mark the transition, while rounded arches line the brick side walls.
