NYFE Summary

The Museum of Modern Art began its public exhibitions in a six-room suite here. Its first show brought together works by Cézanne, Gauguin, Seurat and Van Gogh.

The narrow upper tower ends in a steep roof with round windows, a tall chimney and a crown-shaped finial. Lower terraces and balustrades mark successive setbacks above the broad base.
