NYFE Summary

The building housed a mounted field-artillery unit whose membership was largely German-American. A medical battalion later used it, and the former military space eventually became a television studio. These changes gave a specialized training building several different lives.

A central tower rises above the entrance, with smaller turrets and notched parapets along the front. The castle-like details made the headhouse a recognizable armory. A large drill room was built behind it.
