NYFE Summary

This was built for motion pictures when many cinemas still occupied converted shops. Its clipped corner made the entrance visible from both streets. A restaurant and ballroom above turned the building into a neighborhood entertainment center.

A carved movie camera on a tripod remains over the former corner entrance. In an early film made by Edison's company, audiences can be seen leaving this doorway. The cinema later closed and the interior became an automobile showroom.
