NYFE Summary

Actors and musicians gathered here for meals, social events and satirical shows called Gambols. The club also had a private theater where members tried out plays, some of which later reached Broadway. A matching addition eventually doubled the clubhouse's frontage.

Lambs' heads appear between the arched windows, and larger lamb figures flank a plaque higher on the wall. Open balconies with slender columns mark the principal rooms. The carvings make the former theatrical club's name part of the building itself.
