NYFE Summary

Macy’s grew from a small fancy-goods shop into a department store by absorbing neighboring buildings. This annex was its last expansion here before the store moved to Herald Square in 1902. The former store later housed other retailers and businesses.

A large round-arched window rises above the lower entrance. Balconies and carved stone details lead up a slender front to a row of columns. Copper ornaments mark the roof above the narrow building.
