NYFE Summary

The Curb Market began with brokers trading securities outdoors in lower Manhattan. Moving into a permanent trading hall helped the organization establish itself. It later took the name American Stock Exchange and continued trading here until 2009.

The Greenwich Street side has tall arched windows. The later Trinity Place front uses long vertical piers and large windows to mark the trading hall. Metal reliefs refer to the industries whose shares were traded.
