The insurer chose a headquarters facing Union Square as its business expanded. Its architects echoed the mansard roof of the company’s earlier home, connecting a new skyscraper with an established corporate image.
Four stories of sloping roof rise above the regular office floors. Dormer windows of different sizes break through the roof, while the corner position allows it to be seen from both the square and Park Avenue South.
