NYFE Summary

The building originally housed Municipal and Magistrate’s Courts, along with temporary prison cells. Its original court role ended during the state’s court reorganization in 1961.

A round corner tower rises to an eight-sided belfry with clocks and small pointed gables. Animal heads, colored brick, stone trim and terra-cotta panels give the two street fronts their detail.
