NYFE Summary

The factory made silk ribbons on power looms. Its unusual plan brought light into the workrooms while leaving space for machinery without rows of supporting columns.

Pressed brick panels and a tall chimney still identify the building’s industrial purpose. Its original central tower was lost to fire in 1916, so the present roofline differs from early illustrations.
