NYFE Summary

The congregation joined neighborhood services with religious work, including health care and support for immigrant families. It later made space for artists who lacked places to show and perform. Judson Dance Theater began here in 1962 and helped shape experimental dance.

Bands of terra-cotta ornament run through the yellow brick walls. Round-headed windows and a low tiled roof stand beside the tall bell tower. Worship and public arts programs continue within the church.
