NYFE Summary
The campus brings together organizations devoted to opera, orchestral music, ballet, theater and film. Its construction followed an urban renewal project that cleared San Juan Hill, a largely working-class neighborhood. Lincoln Center now documents that history through its Legacies of San Juan Hill project.
Visitors can see the Revson Fountain and the surrounding performance halls from the public plazas. A digital guide explains art around the campus. Booked tours visit a changing selection of halls and backstage spaces; the route depends on each venue’s schedule.
