NYFE Summary

The Lithuanian Alliance bought the former apartment building in 1910. It helped immigrants through insurance, health benefits and loans, while supporting Lithuanian language and culture. Its newspaper, Tėvynė, was printed here for readers across the United States.

The narrow red-brick front retains decorated window lintels and a broad metal cornice. Restored doorway details recall its earlier residential use. The building continues to hold the Alliance’s archives and a ground-floor arts space.
