NYFE Summary
Look magazine worked here until it stopped publishing in 1971. Esquire and Pocket Books were also tenants. In Witmark & Sons’ fifth-floor studio, Bob Dylan recorded early demos during 1962 and 1963. Industrial designer Raymond Loewy had an office above them.
Rounded corners carry long bands of windows around the building. Pale brick and the stepped upper floors contrast with the older masonry buildings nearby.
