NYFE Summary

Louis and Lucille Armstrong moved into this house in 1943. After Louis died, Lucille preserved the home and remained here. The rooms retain the setting of their everyday life, and recordings made at home let tour visitors hear Armstrong speaking and practicing.

Visits begin at the museum’s center across the street. Its exhibitions draw on the Armstrong archives, while a guided tour enters the preserved house.
