NYFE Summary
Warner Brothers created this movie palace to showcase early sound films. It later became a Broadway theater, where My Fair Lady opened in 1956 with Julie Andrews and Rex Harrison. The building eventually became the home of Times Square Church.
Tall fluted piers frame the brick tower above the entrance. Stone figures beside the doors hold globe lights. These surviving details show the scale and decoration of a movie palace that later served stage musicals and now serves a congregation.
