NYFE Summary

A Presbyterian congregation first built a smaller chapel and lecture room, then added the main auditorium. A Black Baptist congregation bought the building in 1918 after outgrowing several earlier homes.

The two building stages meet at a corner of unlike roof shapes. A low, curved section has a rose window and a partly conical roof. Beside it, a broad gable and towers mark the larger auditorium.
