NYFE Summary

Klaw and Erlanger combined performance spaces with offices above a narrow street entrance. Florenz Ziegfeld later used the main stage for his Follies and the rooftop theater for his Midnight Frolic. Performers here included Fanny Brice, W. C. Fields and Will Rogers.

Sculpture and paintings celebrate drama and the city’s early history. After years as a cinema and a period of decline, the house returned to live theater through a Disney restoration. It was rededicated in 1997. Ticketed audiences can see the restored decoration around the performance spaces.
