NYFE Summary

Felix Adler's society brought together people who wanted to improve society through ethical action, whether or not they shared religious beliefs. Its purpose-built meeting house gave the movement a permanent gathering place. Its architect was also a member and later led the society.

The entrance front has three tall arched window groups and sculpture by Estelle Rumbold Kohn above the doorway. The park-facing side is more solid. That wall was designed to keep distracting side light and street noise out of the assembly hall.
