NYFE Summary

Franklin and Eleanor Roosevelt lived beside his mother Sara in this pair of connected houses. Franklin recovered here after polio in 1921. Following his presidential election, he assembled members of his administration here and offered a Cabinet post to Frances Perkins.

One entrance serves both halves of the brick and limestone front. Hunter College later used the house as an interfaith student center. It now hosts exhibitions and public discussions about history, public policy and human rights.
