NYFE Summary

A private riding club became a National Guard cavalry troop and then Squadron A. Its armory provided space for training and horses. Most of the complex was demolished in 1966 for a school, but the Madison Avenue front survived.

Round corner towers frame a long red-brick wall. Battlements, narrow openings and projecting turrets make it look like a fortress.
