NYFE Summary

Abraham Erlanger commissioned this theater after his partnership with Marc Klaw ended. Their booking syndicate had controlled many American stages. This was his last Broadway theater, first named for himself.

A large iron balcony projects over the entrance. Its arches, decorative grilles and small sculpted details give the front a different texture from the pale wall behind it. The theater later became known as the St. James.
