NYFE Summary

Willie Reale founded this project in 1981 to connect Hell’s Kitchen children with professional theatre artists. Young participants write original plays, then work with adult artists to bring them to the stage.

The organization opened its own home in 2010 after years of using borrowed spaces. Its Five Angels Theater presents the work of neighborhood children and teenagers. Other programs include arts training and academic mentoring.
