NYFE Summary
The Frick displays paintings, sculpture and decorative arts in the house where Henry Clay Frick lived with his family. Many works stand without protective barriers, and wall labels are kept limited to preserve the feel of domestic rooms. A mobile guide supplies the object information and audio commentary.
The museum's 2025 reopening brought former family rooms upstairs into public use for the first time. Smaller works can now be seen in those rooms, including the Boucher Room in Adelaide Frick's former sitting room. The museum admits children aged ten and over, a useful detail when planning a family visit.
