NYFE Summary

Before gaining a permanent home, the museum held exhibitions in temporary spaces, including former Wall Street banking halls. It opened these galleries in 2004. A requirement for a public amenity in the surrounding development helped provide the museum space.

Models and construction photographs show how engineers build towers and how money and building rules shape a skyline. A timeline traces the pursuit of height. Another section uses models, film and photographs to examine the original World Trade Center and the rebuilding of its site.
