NYFE Summary

Theodore Roosevelt lived in the original house on this site until he was fourteen. That house was demolished in 1916. After his death, the Women's Roosevelt Memorial Association recreated his childhood home. His wife and sisters helped furnish the rooms, contributing many original family pieces.

The museum uses five period rooms and exhibition galleries to explain Roosevelt's childhood and family life. The upstairs rooms are seen on guided tours. Individual visitors sign up on site, and places are first come, first served.
