NYFE Summary

Auctioneers sold horses and carriages here as wealthy New Yorkers began changing to automobiles. The building later served industrial uses, including training women for factory work during World War II. Artist Frank Stella used it as a studio from 1978 to 2005.

The red-brick front has a broad arched window above the entrance and a curved upper wall. Round windows and pale stone details frame the central opening.
